It is a privilege to serve all people with kindness and respect.

A note about faith-based counseling

Part of building a relationship based on trust is me being honest about who I am and where I am coming from. The basis of my faith is that I am a follower of Jesus Christ. My faith informs how I see people, the world, and the problems we all have. I am a Christian. I like to use Christian interventions such as prayer and scripture in my counseling. A lot of my clients identify as Christians and choose me as their therapist in part because I am Christian.

However, some of my clients do not want Christian or religious interventions incorporated into their counseling sessions. Some of my clients do not identify as religious or Christian. Some do but have been hurt by the Church, or have a difficult relationship with God and choose not to have Christian interventions. Regardless, it is an honor for me to be invited to help each person discover and tell their story. In faith-based counseling, there is no pressure for you to believe or pray or do anything religious.
